Metemteks was founded in İstanbul in 1982 and started its activities by trading polyester yarn. In 1996, the company shareholders decided to continue their activities as a production company in the polyester yarn sector in which they have vast experience.
Within the frame of this decision, the yarn factory having a closed area of 8.000 m2, which is still in operation today, was built in 1996 in Çorlu on a land of 14.000 m2. It operates in the fields of polyester yarn production and the sale of these products in the domestic and international markets. In February 2011, Metem Enerji ve Tekstil San. Tic. A.Ş. was acquired by Işıklar Holding. The cooperation created by joining Işıklar Holding’s “Quality first” approach and Metemteks’ experience in the sector provided a new momentum for our company.
Yarn factory is designed in a way to produce various types of polyester yarns to be used in weaving. When compared to the large scale integrated producers, Metemteks has considerable flexibility in the production and this flexibility enables the company to provide even the small scale orders without encountering any problems during the production process. Accordingly, Metemteks became one of the largest producers in the sectors it serves. Metemteks has many small and medium scale textile producer customers specifically in the home textile, knitting, narrow woven and label sectors thanks to its leader-supplier position in the field of weaving yarns. |
